/Custom-built software
Build the platform your delivery teams have been sketching for years.
Map your real processes, then automate them with bespoke software that handles approvals, performance reporting, and integrations the way you actually work.
Why it matters
- Systems built around your real operations — not software assumptions
- Eliminate spreadsheets, rework, and manual admin
- Designed with your operators, for your operators
- Instant visibility into performance and bottlenecks
- Lean principles and AI baked into the workflow
/Who we are
Engineered Tools for High-Impact Business
Saliant was born from a simple belief: businesses deserve powerful, practical software—not bloated platforms or off-the-shelf tools that only get halfway there. We partner with owners and delivery teams to map the reality of their workflow and then build software that fits like a glove.

Innovative Problem Solvers
We build purpose-made tools that remove friction, automate repetition, and keep businesses moving forward. Every platform we ship reflects how your team actually works, rather than shoehorning your operation into someone else’s checklist.

Business-Focused Technologists
With roots in operations, manufacturing, and product strategy, we translate process expertise into software that actually fits. We put delivery leaders in the driver’s seat by coupling operational fluency with engineering craft so visibility, controls, and automation remain tightly aligned.

Committed Partners
From first workshop to long-term support, we stay close to your team and evolve the platform as your needs grow. That means shared roadmaps, regular reviews, and a service cadence that keeps every release purposeful.
/What we do
Off-the-Shelf Software Wasn’t Built for You. We Are.
Purpose-built tools make businesses sharper, faster, and more competitive. We focus on the parts of your operation that matter most—automating handoffs, giving visibility where it’s missing, and keeping teams aligned without more noise.

Custom Business Software
Full-stack platforms that automate processes, track performance, and connect the dots between teams. We co-design the tech path with your operators, document every approval loop, and deliver software that makes planners and site staff equally confident about next steps.

Project & Workflow Tools
Dashboards and tasking that match your governance cadence, not a template built for someone else. We define the signal feeds you need, orchestrate approvals, and give sponsors live context so status updates stop being guesswork.

Integration & Automation
Link spreadsheets, SaaS, and on-prem systems so data flows where it needs to without copy-paste. We stitch together the tools your teams already trust, insert automation where rework lurks, and lock every workflow into the right compliance trail.

Ongoing Insights & Care
Analytics, enhancements, and support that keep the tools sharp long after launch. We pair ongoing telemetry with quarterly reviews, roll out rapid refinements, and help your teams continuously improve how the platform supports delivery.
/Portfolio
Our Trailblazing Projects

Every Business Is a Factory
Most businesses create products or services that deliver value to customers, much like manufacturing has done for centuries. Because manufacturing deals with physical processes, its management methods — Lean, Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints, and batch standards like ANSI S88 — have evolved faster than in many other industries. These frameworks give manufacturers clear visibility of processes, physical assets, and the "recipes" needed to produce consistent outcomes. I first encountered S88 while implementing process control and MES systems at South African Breweries, where its structured way of defining processes, equipment, and workflows proved invaluable for traceability, improvement, and operational clarity.
Over time, I realised these models apply far beyond factories. Any business can be described using S88’s Process Model, Physical Model, and Recipe concepts to create a standardised, interconnected view of how work gets done. This structure supports continuous improvement, scenario testing, and KPI definition at every level of the organisation. Manufacturing uses MES systems to manage processes in real time, preventing costly deviations and enabling proactive decision-making. So why not adapt this approach to other industries? With a "Business Execution System" and real-time operations centres, organisations could manage performance with the same immediacy and discipline as modern factories. In a world where most companies share similar tools and resources, real-time business management may be the last true competitive advantage — the ability to detect issues sooner, respond faster, and improve continuously.

Manufacturing Know-How for IT
Many years ago my career started in manufacturing, working with a global beer producer in South Africa. They were early adopters of Total Quality Management and Manufacturing Execution Systems, and we used technology to keep brewing, filtering, and bottling lines running inside their quality envelope.
Later I led a high-volume printing business that was losing money because its digital printers kept tripping. Drawing from the brewing days, we introduced simple downtime logging, Pareto analysis, and a focus on the top three causes. The resulting process discipline swung the operation into a 6.5% profit and convinced the owners to invest in more reliable machinery.
From there I helped a large IT outsource group move from spreadsheet-based costing into Activity Based Costing, capturing service-level effort, capacity, and profitability. These repeatable, manufacturing-born tools became a market differentiator and proved how operational rigor can lift any industry.
